Gnostic Gospel of St.Thomas Logos 82 - 88
Jesus says: Why did you go out into the countryside? That stands for Wilderness where Prophets live. Was it to see a reed shaken by the wind, and to see a man with soft garments clothing him? No Holy Man puts on soft silken clothing as the town Rabbis do. But they are in the dwelling-places of kings and your great ones, those whom soft garments clothe, and they do not know the truth! Remember, the Chief Rabbi and his colleagues like the Pharisee Simon who invited Christ Jesus who loved Mammon and Lavish living were nowhere near John, the Baptist, Prophet Elijah who had zero dependence on Mammon. He loved God and identified Christ in Jesus. 83. In the crowd a woman says to him: Blessed is the womb, which bore thee and the breast, which fed thee! Remember women being nearer to God are normally more devoted to God than men. So, she proclaimed the Truth about Christ Jesus whereas the hypocrite men were afraid of the Temple Priests. He said to her: Blessed are those who have heard the word of the Father and keep it! In truth, days are coming when you will say: Happy is the womb that has not brought forth and those breasts which have not given suck! Here Christ Jesus is talking about Tribulations during the great siege from 66 to 70 A.D. when it became a burden to feed your own children. 84. Jesus says: He who has known the world has fallen into the body, and he who has fallen into the body, the world is not worthy of him. The hypocrites dominate the ways of the world and a wise man of holy ghost finds it hard to bear with. 85. Jesus says: Let him who has become rich in Gospel Truth reign, and let him who has strength refrain from using it! 86. Jesus says: He who is near me is near the fire, and he who is far from me is far from the Royal Kingdom of God. 87. Jesus says: Images are visible to man, but the light, which is in them, is hidden. In the image of the light of the Father, it this light will be revealed, and his image will be veiled by his light. 88. Jesus says: Now, when you see your appearance, you rejoice. But when you see your images, which came into being before you, which do not die and do not show themselves, how will you be able to bear such greatness?

88. Jesus Died (Original)
Here's one for Easter - a song I wrote many years ago, with a few minor changes to bring it up to date. Lyrics: A young man deals drugs in the ghetto He's never yet heard the truth. He's quick with a knife, he's a threat to your life But Jesus died for this youth. ...Yes, my lord Jesus died, he was crucified, ...Died so the world could be free ...He lived and he showed us how we should live ...And he died on the cross for you and me. There's a drunken old man in the gutter, A bottle of booze by his side, His face is all haggard and ruined by drink. For this man Jesus died. There's a soldier who'd wounded in battle, Never you mind on what side. Killing is murder, whatever you wear. For all mankind Jesus died. There's a poor little African baby Crying because there's no food. We who have plenty must see that he's fed - Jesus died for him too. In this life there are so many troubles. All men are weak from the start. Until he is loved by the whole wide world Jesus must live in your heart. This song is on my third CD, "Gospel Ship." Linda Gail Lewis - 88 Friends
When it comes to Linda Gail Lewis, you're talking Rock'n'Roll royalty. The youngest sister of piano-pounding Louisiana Fireball Jerry Lee, Linda Gail's pedigree was never in doubt from the very first moment she debuted at Sun in the early 60s. Having kick-started her showbiz career as a Jazz singer, she also toured and recorded extensively with Jerry during the 60s and 70s, visiting Europe and racking up countless TV appearances along the way. Perhaps surprisingly, it wasn't until the late 1980s that Linda Gail decided to try her hand at the piano and has since established herself as one of the best -- no mean feat when your big brother happens to be Jerry Lee Lewis! Subsequent solo recordings have seen Linda Gail equally at home with Country, Pop and Gospel material. And far from languishing in her brother's shadow, Linda Gail's career has gone from strength to strength with the album You Win Again -- her collaboration with Van Morrison -- going platinum in 2000. Released in April 2004, Boogie Woogie Country Gal (Castle Music) saw Linda return to her Sun roots with pared-down production and full- throttle energy all the way. Lie And Deny (Lantasi), her follow-up with Swedish combo The Rockarounds, was released in Scandinavia in Autumn 2004 and encapsulates the many sides of Linda Gail from the no-holds-barred rockin' of 'Rip It Up' to the bittersweet longing of 'We're Just Friends', just one of the many contemporary songs to feature on the album. The year 2004 saw the launch of the Lewis 3. When performing with the Lewis 3, Linda again shows her versatility as a performer as she leaves the piano to sing with her two daughters. The harmonies and the intimate style of this music takes Linda Gail back to her roots and she truly shines. Linda Gail's most recently released CD, Hungry Hill is a brilliant selection of songs and stunning performances which include two tracks featuring daughter, Annie Marie. Having returned to the US in 2005, after 5 frantic years in Europe, Linda Gail is back with powerhouse performances that remind us why Linda Gail Lewis is the First Lady of Rock'n'Roll.
